Kas, the most beautiful coastal town in Türkiye.

KAS IS Türkiye'S MOST BEAUTIFUL COASTAL TOWN.

Kas, the most beautiful coastal town in Türkiye.

Kaş is one of Türkiye's most beautiful coastal towns, a favorite destination for holidaymakers who want to fully enjoy the sea surrounded by nature.

Kaş is one of Antalya's most beautiful districts, situated on the Mediterranean coast. With a 70 km coastline, Kaş is located on the western tip of Antalya, between Demre and Fethiye.

Kaş, located on the site of the ancient Lycian city of Antiphellos, founded in the 4th century BC, was established as the port of Phellos, a city above Antiphellos. During the Hellenistic period, it became a wealthy port city thanks to the trade in cedar wood, which was abundant in the region. Over time, it separated from Phellos and became independent. Historical remains of Phellos (meaning "rocky country"), still standing today, are located 11 km from the center. Over the years, the city of Antiphellos has been submerged beneath Kaş, and historical structures such as the ancient theater in the center, the royal sarcophagus in the Long Bazaar, various rock tombs, and temple foundations still prove this.

Kaş, a place of great importance for tourism in Türkiye, can be reached by plane or road. The nearest airport to Kaş is Dalaman Airport in the Dalaman district of Muğla. The road from the airport to Kaş is 150 km. Alternatively, you can use Antalya Airport and reach Kaş by road in 200 km.
